The “Smart City Vigo”
Abstract
This initial work aims to show the reality of the "Smart City Vigo" and the analysis of its implementation, impact and future development project. Initially the applications, devices and facilities in operation are shown, but also the analysis of their feat, and of the whole process carried out at the level of municipal public policies. Also, the cultural and social dimension of some of its applications, devices and facilities, such as those accessible to citizens through the so-called E-Government or E-Administration. Finally, its advantages/disadvantages and its impact on aspects such as the quality of democracy, fundamental rights, or the environment.
